Johan Ambuhm serves as Vice President, Business Development & Digital Solutions at Inwido AB, Europe’s largest Window and Door manufacturer. He has more than 15 year’s broad background in international business development, management and product management within Security and Telecom business. Before joining Inwido, Johan was responsible for the ASSA ABLOY EMEA Smart Home integration business as a part of the Digital Dorr Lock rollout in EMEA. Prior to joining Assa Abloy, Johan has held senior management positions at both successful Software Startups and large global international market leading companies. Johans focus is to drive Inwidos digital journey and combine it with partnerships models within Security, Telcos, Utilities, Home Automation, and Health Care providers.

Jens Dahle Jens Dahle, Associate Partner, Digital Transformation, IBM

Alvaro Gallardo Alvaro Gallardo, VP, Smart Home, Energy, Assistance, Orange

Alvaro F. Gallardo is Director of the Home & Convergence Line of Business at Orange (France Telecom Group), working on new areas of growth around wireline and convergent telco business. He is currently leading the Smart Home Services Program within his division, supporting both Group entities and countries on the business strategy and go-to-market approach on both the Smart Home arena as well as the Assistance at Home (enhaced support). He joined France Telecom Group more than 7 years ago, developing different positions in Strategy and Marketing in Orange Spain, being involved in projects such as the rebranding of all the operations in Spain. Prior to that, he spent several years in management consulting as well as several financial entities. Alvaro holds a degree in Economy by the Universidad de Salamanca and a MBA by the Instituto de Empresa Business School.

Gabriel Wetzel Gabriel Wetzel, CEO, Robert Bosch Smart Home GmbH

Gabriel Wetzel is CEO of the Robert Bosch Smart Home GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. His focus topics are product management, engineering and sales. Bosch Smart Home offers solutions that adapt to people’s lives making them safer, more efficient and easier. 
Most recently, Gabriel Wetzel has been vice president of Bosch Software Innovations GmbH and has led its Internet of Things and Smart City business unit. His team focused on end-to-end IoT solutions for large-volume applications, such as remote monitoring, field data acquisition, and analytics for consumers and professionals.
With over 15 years in management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH, Gabriel has gained in-depth experience in initiating and development of business for innovative solutions, for example in the area of sustainable mobility solutions and energy management.
He holds degrees in technical cybernetics from the University of Stuttgart and the Ecole Centrale Paris. Born in France, he lives in Germany for over 20 years.

George Yianni George Yianni, Head of Technology – Home Systems, Philips Lighting

George Yianni, Head of Technology – Home Systems, joined Philips in 2007 as a Pre-development Project Leader/Architect. Most recently, George developed Philips personal wireless lighting system, Hue, which further expands how consumers interact with their “connected homes.” He’s end responsible for all technology, architecture and platform choices made for Philips Lighting’s connected consumer products and ensures that the ecosystem being built around it is best suited for future development.

From concept and since its release in 2012, Philips Hue has been awarded several industry honors including Forbes’ Best Product of 2012 and Lightfair’s Judges’ Citation Award.

Additionally, in 2011, George was elected into Global Shapers, a World Economic Forum community consisting of young leaders at the forefront of their respective industries who cause positive disruption with the goal of building a more peaceful world.

At Philips, prior to working on Philips hue, George worked as a system architect on various Lighting controls products including the Living Colors range and lighting systems for office and street lighting.

Before joining Philips, George worked as a software engineer for the UK based startup Autonomy designing software for helping large companies better organize and use their internal knowledge,.

Born in France, to Cypriot and British parents, George has had an international upbringing. He studied Theoretical Physics and Natural Sciences receiving two masters degrees from Cambridge University in England.


Avi Barel Avi Barel, Business Development Director, ULE Alliance

Avi has over 30 years of broad high tech experience, ranging from software development, semiconductor, engineering and business management. Avi joined the ULE Alliance in April 2013 as the Director of Business Development. Prior to ULE Alliance, worked 10 years at DSP Group, serving as Corporate Vice President of sales for 8 years. Before joining DSP Group established and managed Winbond subsidiary in Israel for 5 years, developing semiconductor products for speech processing and communication, managing team of 50+ engineers. At National Semiconductor held variety of engineering, engineering management and business management positions; involved in development and management of award winning, innovative projects. Avi holds M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Victor Berrios Victor Berrios, VP, Technology, Zigbee Alliance

Victor Berrios is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all technology programs for the Alliance and for supporting Work Group efforts in the development and maintenance of wireless communication standards. He is a recognized expert in the short-range wireless industry as evidenced by his contributions to the rf4ce Network; Zigbee Remote Control, Zigbee Input Device, Zigbee Healthcare, and Zigbee Low Power End Device Specifications. He was recognized by the Continua Health Alliance as its Spring 2011 Key Contributor in recognition for his contributions to the success of the Test and Certification Work Group. He is the 1997 recipient of the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award for community service, has worked for over twenty years in the wireless communication industry. Mr. Berrios received his bachelor's of science in computer engineering from Iowa State University, his master's in electrical engineering from Arizona State University (ASU), and his master's in business administration from ASU.

Stephane Blanc Stephane Blanc, International Commercial Director, Hive, Centrica Connected Home

Stephane Blanc is International Commercial Director of Centrica Hive, one of the leading Smart Home companies in Europe. Based in London, UK, Stephane oversees new business development and general management of Continental Europe and Asia-Pacific countries. Prior to joining Centrica Hive, Stephane worked at Amazon, leading mobile strategy and partnerships across Europe, closing multi-year deals with all the major telecom operators. He was previously Business Development Director of I-Play and In-Fusio, two early leaders of the mobile game Industry. Stephane spent the early part of his career as digital product manager, including 4 years at Vodafone Global and 3 years at SFR, after co-founding one of the first French Internet Service provider in 1995. He has a Master in Computing and Business Management and a BA in Mathematics from Bordeaux University of Science, France.

Matthieu de Broca Matthieu de Broca, International Business Development Director, Overkiz, a subsidiary of the Somfy Group

Matthieu de Broca is heading international Business Development of Overkiz company. He previously occupied positions on Asia Business Development and Strategic Alliance for a semiconductor technology startup after being Manager in a Business Consulting firm BearingPoint (Innovation practice) and leading various program management projects in the telecommunication industry landscape. Graduated from HEC business school, NTU (Singapore) and ISEP Engineering school (France)

Bernd Grohmann Bernd Grohmann, Executive Vice President, eQ-3 AG

Bernd Grohmann is Executive Vice President (Vorstand) and CTO at eQ-3 AG, responsible for the OEM plus international business and Corporate Development for the group. According to industry analysts, eQ-3 is the European Smart Home market leader based on the installed base of whole home solutions and a Pioneer with IPv6 based Smart Home products. Grohmann is a profound expert of the Smart Home and IoT market plus technology. Before joining eQ-3 AG, Grohmann was Vice President Product Marketing at Zensys, the original maker of Z-Wave, where he was responsible for the Z-Wave alliance in its early days. At Danish industry group Danfoss A/S, Grohmann was leading the Communication Technology Center, a think tank supporting all 26 business divisions. In addition, he greatly contributed to the standardization work, e.g. within IEEE802.15.4, as a Working Group Chair in the ZigBee alliance and as one of the initiators of the 6LoWPAN initiative of IETF.

Kristian Järnefelt Kristian Järnefelt, EVP Consumer Cyber Security, F-Secure Corporation

Kristian Järnefelt is Executive Vice President of Consumer cyber security at F-Secure. F-Secure is a Finnish cyber security company that has been in the business for nearly 30 years. F-Secure develops leading cyber security products for consumers and enterprises and it provides security services for enterprises and governments. F-Secure also regularly helps law enforcement to track and catch hackers. Kristian leads the consumer security business unit which is currently working on a new product that is designed to protect all connected devices at people's homes. The product will extend F-Secure's cyber security capabilities to cover new consumer devices from thermostats to cameras and refrigerators. Prior to F-Secure Kristian held leadership positions at Fujitsu and HP and he has served as a CEO of multiple startups. Kristian has a master's degree from the Helsinki School of Economics.

Larry Poon Larry Poon, COO, IMONT

Larry is Co-founder and COO of Imont, a company that develops software for IoT device integration using a "cloudless" technology. He is responsible for the general day-to-day operations of the company, as well as providing strategic directions to help grow the company. Larry has over 30 years of marketing and operational leadership experience with technology companies in Europe and North America, including Canonical, ABB and Nortel.

Marcus Scheiber Marcus Scheiber, CEO & Co-Founder , ROC-Connect, Inc.

Marcus Scheiber is Co-Founder and CEO of ROC-Connect, a leading IOT company providingSmart Home as a Service. ROC-Connect delivers full-end-to-end connected brands in the Smart Home space for channels as Retailers, Insurances & Financial Industries, as well as for Service Providers. Before starting ROC-Connect in 2012, Marcus founded the ms.GIS group of companies (Austria nd US), a leading geospatial technology provider. Marcus held various positions as Co-CEO, board member, and investor. Earlier in his career, Marcus was working as a technical consultant with Prime-Computervision, and in C.S. research at the AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology).  Marcus holds a Masters of Science in Management (Sloan Fellow) and a Master’s Degree of the University of Economics and Business Administration of Vienna, Austria.

Steve Shapiro Steve Shapiro, General Manager Security and Connected Home, Johnson Controls

Steve Shapiro is the general manager for residential and commercial security systems including the connected home products and services at Johnson Controls, the global leader in building products and technology, integrated solutions, energy storage and information based retail systems.  Steve is responsible for product development and the serving customer needs globally for security alarm and connected home systems.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls Steve was vice president for ADT where he was responsible for residential and commercial security products and services and industry relations.  While at ADT, Steve led ADT’s product strategy and engineering initiatives for an extensive portfolio of ADT products, including creating the revolutionary smart home automation system, ADT Pulse®.
Steve has served as a Board member to the Security Industry Association, The Monitoring Association (formerly CSAA) and the Z-Wave Alliance.
Prior to joining ADT, Steve was a consultant to Sirius-XM Satellite Radio where he developed product roadmaps and product definitions for mobile and portable devices.
His professional career began at Motorola, where he was responsible marketing and product management for many communications products and marketing plans over 20 years that included two-way radios, pagers and mobile phones, including Motorola’s first color and camera phones.
Steve graduated from Florida International University with an MBA in Business Administration. He holds FCC professional and amateur licenses, has been awarded 17 patents, and earned a Black Belt in Marketing for Six Sigma.

Jennifer earned her Ph.D. in religion, politics, and society and an M.A. in church-state studies from Baylor University. She earned her B.A. in politics from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Erik Overbeeke Erik Overbeeke, European Partner Alliance, Parks Associates

Erik has served as a marketing, strategy and M&A consultant in the Residential Security Industry, focused most recently on IoT, helping a number of leading companies develop market entry and partnership strategies. Prior to that Erik worked for eight years at KPN, the incumbent telecommunication company in the Netherlands and during 15 years at Philips Electronics in the Netherlands. He fulfilled several senior management, business development and business consulting positions. He holds a College degree of Electronics and a Master of Business Economics - Erasmus University, The Netherlands.
