iYogi to present strategies for the connected home ecosystem at CONNECTIONS™ Europe

Sandeep Kalsi, CMO, iYogi, will participate as a speaker at the ninth-annual CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Monetizing Strategies for the Connected Home, hosted by Parks Associates, 18-19 November at the Mövenpick Hotel in Amsterdam. Sandeep Kalsi, CMO, iYogi, will participate in the "Consumer Tech Support in the Smart Home" session on Wednesday, November 19 at 10:45.

CONNECTIONS™ Europe examines the impact of connected devices and services, including entertainment, controls, digital media, security, and cloud services, and offers insight into new and innovative business strategies and partnerships, current and future technologies, and critical issues, including privacy and interoperability, and their effect on consumer engagement.

Parks Associates research finds over 80% of Spanish broadband households, 70% in Germany, and 54% in the U.K. regularly experience problems with their connected devices.

“The provision of tech support services allows broadband service providers to monetize out-of-scope support calls,” said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. “This results in the opportunity to extend the relationship with customers as well as create customer loyalty. We look forward to hearing iYogi’s perspective on the consumer experience with connected devices.”

CONNECTIONS™ Europe is a great platform for us to engage with other industry players to have a deeper discussion around emerging consumer needs, the role that IoT can play in addressing issues, and in creating opportunities for the ecosystem,” said Sandeep Kalsi, CMO, iYogi. “We look forward to sharing, learning and creating opportunities for collaboration.”

The interactive panel session, moderated by Sikes, examinesstrategies to improve the consumer support experience even as the home environment becomes more complex, which drives up support costs and requires more time and resources to provide the necessary support and protection. Other panel speakers include

  • Oliver Birch, Connected Living Innovation Manager, Assurant Solutions
  • Kurt Peterhans, CEO, Axiros
  • Andrew Swartz, Research Director, Sutherland Global Services
  • Tom Van Leeuwen, Director, Customer Experience Home Solutions, Alcatel-Lucent

CONNECTIONS™ Europe features keynote presentations from Ericsson and Sky Deutschland and a fireside chat featuring Deutsche Telekom and Icontrol Networks. iYogi is also a sponsor of CONNECTIONS™ Europe.
